26 September 2025 – Tanjung Bruas Port (“TBP”) successfully conducted the Cargo Safety Handling Awareness Program in collaboration with CSC Steel Sdn. Bhd. for port stevedores. The programme focused on the safe handling of steel coils to improve safety and minimize operational risks.
It provided an opportunity to address key aspects of steel coil handling, including the identification of common defects such as scratches, damage, edge deformation, and packaging failures that could compromise shipment quality.
In addition, operational issues were highlighted, such as unsafe lifting techniques and inconsistent handling practices among stevedore teams.
The programme concluded with a collective commitment to strengthening teamwork, enhancing safety standards, and improving operational efficiency. This focus is expected to reduce cargo damage, prevent workplace accidents, and support smoother, more reliable cargo handling operations at TBP.
