The event, held along the Port area and the coastal beach of Kampung Balik Bukit in Melaka, successfully gathered more than 120 participants, including Government Agencies, students and lecturers from Politeknik Melaka, TBP staff and local community members.

The event was officiated by YB Puan Tuminah Binti Kadi, ADUN Pantai Kundur, and was also attended by Tuan Akmal Bin Abdul Manap, Chief Executive Officer of Kumpulan Melaka Berhad; Encik Nik Muhammad Khaidir Bin Sukri, representative of the Malacca Port Authority; Encik Md Kamil Bin Md Rafi, Head of Finance, Johor Port Berhad; and Encik Khairul Anuar Bin Othman, Head of Company, Tanjung Bruas Port Sdn. The program was not only aimed at cleaning up approximately two kilometres of coastline but also to foster patriotism in conjunction with the 68th Merdeka Day celebration. It also served as a platform to strengthen cooperation between the Government Agencies, Port Management and the local community.

Khairul Anuar, Head of Company at Tanjung Bruas Port said, “These community-focused programmes are meaningful to the TBP as they provide direct benefits to local residents. It is also part of our ongoing efforts to support the local community, enhance well-being, and strengthen the relationships between the Port and nearby residents”.

It raises environmental awareness, nurtures unity and inspires pride in maintaining a clean and pleasant environment,” said YB Puan Tuminah.

TBP hopes this initiative will be a stepping stone for more environmental preservation efforts, promoting patriotism and strengthening unity. TBP has implemented four (4) CSR programmes to date, with a total allocation of nearly RM40,000.00 most of which have directly benefited the Kampung Balik Bukit community.
